PATIENCE B. KINENGYERE
Patience is a medical doctor with a specialisation in ophthalmology and has 13 years of experience in clinical practice, public health in eyecare, medical writing, and academia. Patience is passionate about eye health advocacy with a focus on low vision, and visual rehabilitation.
Patience has a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Makerere University, Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology from Makerere University, Master of Business Administration from the University of South Wales, and Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Suffolk.
Patience is currently a Doctor of Philosophy scholar at the Africa University with a research focus on the Evaluation of Diabetic Retinopathy Early Detection Strategies in Urban Kampala, Uganda.
DAN BWONYA
Dan is a medical doctor with a speciality in ophthalmology and has over 20 years of experience as a clinician, researcher, teacher, and eye health advocate. As an ophthalmologist, Dan has over 15 years of experience in Cataract surgery, Glaucoma management, Vitreoretinal surgery, and public health for eye care.
Dan is a fellow of the European Vitreoretinal Society (EVRS), the European Vitreoretinal School and Retinal Foundation, ICO Centre Ahmedabad – India, the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO), and a member of the African Vitreoretinal Society, and the Ophthalmology Society of Uganda.
Dan holds a Master of Science degree in Public health for eye care from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, a Master of Medicine Degree in Ophthalmology from Mbarara University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Degree from Mbarara University of Science and Technology.
ELIZABETH NAGAWA
Elizabeth is a medical doctor with more than 6 years of experience in clinical medicine with a specialisation in ophthalmology. And currently serves as an ophthalmologist and health of the ophthalmology department at the Kiruddu National Referral Hospital.
Elizabeth has exceptional management and leadership skills in healthcare services with a focus on eye health. Elizabeth holds a Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology from Makerere University and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Makerere University.
VENNIE NABITAKA
Vennie is a Medical Doctor and Researcher with over 13 years of experience in Global Health and infectious diseases, focusing on critical areas like HIV and Tuberculosis. Vennie has exceptional skills in grant writing, proposal composition, project management and strategic training for healthcare professionals and has for more than six years offered these services in support of the Ministry of Health Uganda in implementing robust public health programs.
Vennie is a pivotal member of the Pharmacovigilance Committee at the National Drug Authority, leveraging her expertise to ensure the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products.
Vennie holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Makerere University, a Master's in Public Health with a specialisation in Global Health from the University of Melbourne and a Post-graduate diploma in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute.
Beyond health services, Vennie is a passionate farmer, advocating for nutrition as an integral component of overall health and well-being.
JANEPHER B.KAKAMA
Janepher is a Public Health Professional biased toward Maternal and Child Health. With over 11 years of experience working closely with mothers and children, she is an advocate for promoting safe motherhood initiatives to improve the well-being of communities. She is passionate about early childhood cognitive development and perinatal mental health.
Janepher holds a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration from Uganda Christian University with a major in mental health rehabilitation and a Master of Science in Public Health leadership from Uganda Christian University.
PEARL A. ATWINE
Pearl is a creative content writer with over 11 years of experience in office management, administration, and writing. She is passionate about using creative art to advance social development in communities, especially for mothers and children. She has rich experience working in different East and Southern African environments.
Pearl holds a Bachelor of Office and Information Management from Makerere University.
RONALD SSALI
Ronald is a professional counsellor, lecturer, writer, and member of the Uganda Counselling Association. He is passionate about helping people realise their full potential. He is the founder of the Helping Hands Initiative.
Ronald holds a Bachelor of Counselling and Psychology degree from Kyambogo University, a degree in Theology from Bugema University, a postgraduate diploma in Vocational Pedagogy from Kyambogo University, and a Master of Vocational Pedagogy from the University of Arkansas.
